Sunny Jassal is a specialist Breast and General Surgeon bringing international best practice expertise to all areas of diagnostic and therapeutic breastcare as well as a broad range of general surgical conditions.
Sunny gained his medical degree at The University of Melbourne prior to surgical training through The Austin Hospital. Following admission to the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, Sunny completed fellowship years in advanced General Surgery at Dandenong Hospital and Breast and Oncological Surgery at Royal Perth Hospital. He accepted Breast and General Surgery Consultant posts at both Royal Perth and Fremantle Hospitals prior to returning to Melbourne with his young family to set up definitive public and private practices.

Sunny is a foundation member of BreastSurgANZ (www.breastsurganz.com), the primary group of surgeons treating patients with breast disease, benign and malignant, in Australia and New Zealand. He is also a member of the Australasian Society for Breast Disease (ASBD) and Australian and New Zealand Breast Cancer Trial Group (ANZBCTG). He is a regular attendee and has presented at national and international surgical and oncological conferences. Sunny is also co-author of the highly commended “Breast Cancer. The Facts” (Oxford University Press, Second Edition, 2019).
